Before we could begin our journey to find the perfect date, we had to set up our account, and WhatsYourPrice couldn't have made it any easier! Upon clicking the seductive "Join Now" button at the center of the homepage, we were prompted to enter the following:

Your Gender (man or woman)
Choose if you are interested in receiving or making offers
The gender you are looking for (men, women, or both)
Your date of birth

When you fill these out, you will have the option to alternatively sign up using your Google account. If not, you will simply need to add your email address and password, and you will also need to complete a couple more steps.

Moving on, you will need to choose your display name and location. If you need some inspiration for your username, you can click on the light bulb icon, and WhatsYourPrice will do the rest.

Given the site's focus on males, we wanted to see if there were differences between male and female profiles. We started with a male account, offering dates to women only but open to offers from both genders. We completed the profile with verification, photos, and details. Then, we made a female account with the same options and details as the male one. In order to help hunt down that perfect date, having a filter option as extensive as the one on the Whats Your Price app is a very useful feature to have. With 12 headers in total, from listing “Location” to something more specific like “Body Types”, the site makes finding what you’re looking for that much easier. Additionally, the filter feature allows you to search by "Profile Keywords" " which means you are able to insert a specific word or phrase, and the filter will scour the site for profiles featuring your search query on their profile.

Favorites

If you’re the type of person who wants to let people know that you like them before making an offer and engaging in conversation, this feature will come in handy. By clicking on the star icon on a member's profile, you can let them know that they've acquired a spot in your "favourites" list. The same also goes for when someone has added you to their favourites. Additionally, you can see how many people have viewed your profile and vice versa.

You can only do so much without opening your wallet on the What's Your Price dating site.
